I engage in the integration, application and exploration of Digital & Social Media channels for commercial use and for the benefit of our clients.

I believe content is king! Especially user content.

At Sticky Advertising, I spend most of my time constructing digital and social advertising campaigns using words, pictures, videos and audio, whether its for microsites, viral adverts, online video production, blogging, online reputation management, or search engine optimisation…there’s just too much!

More importantly, as an avid marketer I strongly believe in Al Ries and Jack Trout’s 3 P’s – Position…Position…Position

My background:

Born on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal among the burnt out cars and supermarket shopping trolleys, I’m inspired by musical misfits like the Sex Pistol’s, X-Ray-Spec’s and Ivor Biggun and the Red Nosed Burglars. Now I’m showing my age.

I spent my formative working years swanning around the globe in the military and aerospace industry, where I first tasted the delights of marketing - Middle Eastern style. In this period I part-owned and ran a company called Manhattan Entertainment, managing various music & sporting events.

Love brought this passionate Englishman to Australia, where I entered the entertaining world of sales and business development which lead me again to the marketing profession, earning a Masters of Marketing degree at the University of Newcastle.

I am an Associate Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM). Quickly after joining, I founded the Institute’s only non-capital city based chapter. Elected twice to NSW State Council, I love annoying the ruling marketing class at the Institute where I drive for a more inclusive and conversational approach to the Institute.
