Hunter Valley golf site gets web search boost
Posted by Craig on September 27th, 2008 filed in Digital, SEOLess than a month after launching the Newcastle Golf Club website, we are happy to reveal that the club’s search rankings and web traffic have improved immensely.
The previous Newcastle Golf Club website had some serious search engine optimisation issues, preventing it from featuring in relevant searches on Google and Yahoo. In fact, it only showed on searches using the words “Newcastle” and “Golf”. Part of Sticky’s brief was to lift the club up in searches for a series of terms.
Here is a summary of early results:
“Newcastle Golf Club” - No.1 and No.2 in world-wide searches, No.1 & No.2 in Australia
“Newcastle golf” - No.1 with 5 other mentions on first page in Australian search
“golf Port Stephens Australia” - now on first page
“top ranked golf courses in hunter valley” - No.1
“top ranked golf courses nsw” - No.1
“top ranked golf courses” - first page
“top ranked golf courses australia” - first page
“best nsw golf courses” - first page
“best golf courses australia” - first page
“top hunter golf courses” - No.2
“corporate golf newcastle” - first page
….and so on.
We expect that the Google and Yahoo ranking for Newcastle Golf Club will continue to improve over time, and we still have a few searches to work on, but overall we are very excited to have been able to deliver such a great results so quickly.
